Getting Started
It couldn't be easier to get started. This is a site based on collaboration and we welcome any contributions to this site - text, paintings, drawings, photographs, and anything else that you own or have permission to add - that are about a house or a neighbourhood in the UK and which would be of interest to others from your area or around the UK. Between us all we will be able to build up an impressive archive covering the UK's rich housing heritage.
Please read our Terms of Use before contributing, and then have a look at the "How To" pages listed below and in our left menu:
Then you need to register with us by pressing "Register" towards the bottom of the right menu and following the instructions.
Once you have registered and/or logged in, you are ready to go. Please ensure that you do not add content that betrays others' right to privacy or that could compromise the security of your own or another's house. If you wish to complain about any content on this site, please email us at info@thehousearchive.com.
You need to register (first time visit) or log in (subsequent visits) to be able to gain access to the Index page with all the houses listed on it.
If you would just like to browse this site first, the best way is to use the search box in the left menu column. We launched this site in May 2007 and it will take some time to build up a representative sample of the UK's housing heritage, so if you don't see what you are interested in, consider adding it yourself.
